There Needs to be Food and Lifestyle Changes Added to Obesity Meds

U.S. pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly announced Thursday it will deliver migraine, diabetes and obesity medications directly to U.S. consumers through its new LillyDirect service. Shad Marvasti, MD, MPH, associate professor of Family, Community and Preventive Medicine and director of Public Health, Prevention and Health Promotion at the college, discusses the shortcomings of taking a weight-loss drug without also making changes to diet and increasing physical activity.
