KJZZ
Melissa Herbst-Kralovetz, PhD, director of the Women's Health Research Program and Microbiome Initiative and professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Basic Medical Sciences at the College of Medicine – Phoenix, spoke with KJZZ about a recent study indicating there could be a path to easing post-operative pain for women.
Dr. Herbst-Kralovetz studies women’s health, but she was not a part of the study. She welcomed the paper, saying more still needs to be done to properly address pain in female patients, as women tend to experience chronic pain more often than men.
