Elizabeth Borden, PhD, is researching cancer vaccines while pursuing her goal of becoming a pediatric oncologist.

Elizabeth Borden, PhD, an MD/PhD student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, works with the Department of Dermatology to research cancer vaccines and personalized immunotherapy. Collaborating with mentor Karen Hastings, MD, PhD, Borden helped develop “NeoScore,” a tool that identifies cancer-specific neoantigens to guide treatment. She is combining her research with clinical training to pursue her goal of becoming a pediatric oncologist.
