Graduate Medical Education Programs in the Division
Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship - A three-year, ACGME-accredited program that provides a balanced experience in intensive care, inpatient and outpatient pulmonary medicine, combined with robust research training and academic scholarship. Fellows may apply for a T32 training program — an NIH-, ALA-, AHA- and industry-sponsored initiative conducted in collaboration with our Tucson division. All fellows complete active research projects and present their work at national meetings.
Critical Care Medicine Fellowship - A two-year program focused on advanced critical care management, multidisciplinary collaboration and scholarly development. Fellows expand their medical knowledge and practice-based learning while gaining exposure to the latest innovations in the management of critically ill patients. Performance outcomes — including In-Training Exam (ITE) scores and board certification rates — regularly meet or exceed national averages.
Sleep Medicine Fellowship - A one-year program offering comprehensive training in sleep medicine. Fellows train in over 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratory space at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix and engage in collaborative translational research with the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) and other institutional partners.
