Campus Art Opening

Presented in partnership with First Place AZ, this special art opening will celebrate the work and lives of adults with autism and/or neurodevelopmental disabilities and will feature two series — Be Open and Picturing Inclusivity.

Be Open, which is located in the lobby of the Health Sciences Education Building (HSEB), is a series of portraits taken by treasured Arizona photographer Scott Baxter that capture the achievement and pride of an America open to hiring individuals on the spectrum.

Picturing Inclusivity, on display on the fifth floor of the HSEB, is a unique series by Irish photographer Stuart Neilson, PhD, that visualizes how people on the spectrum interact in public spaces — with each other, nature and inanimate objects.
