Performance by Ayman Fanous, MD
Ayman Fanous, MD, chair of the Department of Psychiatry, is an accomplished free-form jazz musician. He plays classical and electric guitar and bouzouki, drawing influences from musical traditions around the world. He has led ensembles ranging from duos to sextets with world-renowned jazz and improvisational musicians including cellist Frances-Marie Uitti and New York musicians William Parker, Joe McPhee and Elliott Sharp.
