Personal Interests: Reading, Sewing/Design, Yoga, Competitive Sports
Why U of A College of Medicine – Phoenix: The program provides early operative experiences in diverse training environments in Arizona and Alaska. Furthermore, our faculty members, alumni, and senior residents are eager to provide mentorship to support our career path. I am excited to complete my training at UA College of Medicine-Phoenix because I am confident, I will become a clinically and technically excellent surgeon.

Why U of A College of Medicine – Phoenix: The residents value their training and the attendings love their jobs. The program values high operative volume for residents, patient focused care, academic education, and being a member of the community outside of residency. In addition to rural care in Alaska, U of A has the rural track which allows for training in Billings, Montana the 4th year of residency including rotation on a variety of non-general surgical subspecialties.

Why U of A College of Medicine – Phoenix: I was excited about a program that offered residents the opportunity to operate and manage complex patients from the start of their first year. Plus, proximity to the mountains/beautiful outdoor spaces was a huge draw for me!

Why U of A College of Medicine – Phoenix: During my trauma nights sub-i, I had an amazing experience working with the incredibly supportive residents and faculty. The hands-on learning opportunities and strong camaraderie within the team made me excited about the possibility of training at my home program. Additionally, my fiancé at the time and now husband, Greg Sprout, had wonderful mentors in College of Medicine – Phoenix's interventional radiology department, making it an ideal place for us to couples match!
