Overview
The Division of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery is dedicated to exceptional patient care.
It is also steadfast in advancing surgical knowledge through innovative research and training future surgeons in a diverse, inclusive environment.
Our division was designed to respond to any emergency surgical issue 24/7 with fully equipped, state-of-the art trauma bays and a Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) in our fully verified American College of Surgeons Level 1 Trauma Center. The goal of the division is to increase the faculty to eight double-boarded surgeons, who also practice surgical critical care medicine.
Our collective focus continues to be to provide outstanding education to residents, medical students and the community, as well as to increase our research portfolio.
