The Black Men in White Coats Youth Summit is an annual event hosted by the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix in collaboration with community partners and other medical schools across Arizona, as part of the Academic Medical Consortium of Arizona (AMCA). The summit aims to inspire and empower youth to pursue careers in medicine and healthcare. This event focuses on breaking down barriers to medical education, offering mentorship, and providing a platform for participants to engage with current health professionals, including physician and medical students.

During the summit, attendees have the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on activities designed to demystify the medical field and highlight the diverse opportunities within healthcare. The event also emphasizes the importance of representation in medicine, showcasing successful Black physicians and medical professionals as role models. By providing these students with guidance, encouragement, and resources, the Black Men in White Coats Youth Summit seeks to cultivate the next generation of health care leaders, increase diversity in the medical profession, and inspire these young individuals to believe in their potential to contribute to improving healthcare access and outcomes in their communities.
