Taylor Burton, DO
Taylor Burton, DO

Undergraduate: University of Central Florida
Master's of Nutrition: Columbia University
Medical School: Midwestern University (AZ College of Medicine)
Career Interests: PICU/ICU? Staying open minded, the Med-Peds way!
Personal Interests: Being outside! I run, a lot. I love to climb mountains, trail run long distances, and backpack every chance I get. My pointer pup Bongo (and my husband) joins me on all my adventures. I also love to be creative in the kitchen with baking and cooking and I love to share! My life goals are to run a 100 miler, do an IronMan and to get my Triple Crown of Hiking.
Why UArizona College of Medicine – Phoenix: I had rotated twice at PCH during medical school and loved everyone I worked with. I was part of the team even as a medical student and felt like it was a very collaborative and educational environment. I knew I wanted to come here as I was confident that I would fit right in to this supportive and amazing med-peds family! Arizona is also an amazing place to live!

Zachary Dubit, MD

Undergraduate: Washington and Lee University
Medical School: Eastern Virginia Medical School
Career Interests: Rural medicine, primary care
Personal Interests: I am a big fan of day hiking. I grew up in the mountains and love the fact that I can drive to a number of different day hikes — despite living in downtown phoenix. I also enjoy ultimate frisbee, good food (especially baked-goods, I have a bit of a sweet tooth) and dance.
Why UArizona College of Medicine – Phoenix: Phoenix is a great place to live. It has a great combination of outdoor activities — while also having all the amenities that you get when living in a big city. From the medical perspective, Banner and Phoenix Children's Hospital are two of the largest hospitals in the area. As residents, we get to see a bit of everything and have the opportunity to work with patients from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Career Interests: Not sure! I like the idea of staying broad as a hospitalist, but am also fascinated by congenital heart disease. I for sure see myself being involved in medical education regardless in my career.

Career Interests: Combined adult and pediatric infectious diseases or combined critical care infectious diseases
Personal Interests: Love to travel with the girlfriend, trying new restaurants or breweries, and the occasional JRPG.
Why UArizona College of Medicine – Phoenix: Love Phoenix, born and raised here. Was very familiar with the reputation of both Banner – UMC Phoenix and PCH and knew I would get a solid training experience.

Harrison VanDolah, MD
Harrison VanDolah, MD

Undergraduate: St. Olaf College, BA Chemistry and Asian Studies
Medical School: Creighton University School of Medicine – Phoenix Regional Campus
Career Interests: Adult congenital heart disease, critical care, palliative care, medical education, global health
Personal Interests: All things music, mountain biking, hiking, taking my dog Jasper for walks/runs with my fiancé Emma (a PGY1 peds intern at PCH!), playing basketball and cheering for Phoenix sports teams — go Suns!.
Why UArizona College of Medicine – Phoenix: PCH and Banner – UMC Phoenix are two huge tertiary care centers in one of the biggest cities in the nation and have great patient populations to serve and to learn from. As someone interested in global health, I was drawn to the opportunity to include global health patient populations in my normal rotations in addition to opportunities to work with patients from the Native American reservations. I'm also a big outdoors person and love how easy it is to go on great hikes and mountain biking within the city, as well as really cool weekend getaways around the state of Arizona.
