We have had the fortune to train an amazing number of physicians who discovered sometime special about our program at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix. Here are some special highlights.
-
Aaron Silver, MD is a former chief resident and graduate of our program currently working as a hospitalist and POCUS specialist at OHSU in Portland, Oregon. (Transfer gray highlighted text with 2 video links in it currently located on Program Highlights Main tab on the retreats and Events page just under the 4 photos) and insert it here. Add professional photo of Dr. Silver cropped from OHSU website. From the top of Humphreys Peak (Elevation 12,635′), former Med-Peds chief resident and Class of 2020 graduate Dr. Aaron Silver explains what he loves about our program (Part one and Part two).
- JC Nwobodo, MD is a graduate of our program who built a medical clinic in Nigeria to serve the community where he was raised. Kindred Clinic is Equal as One’s first primary health care clinic, which also focuses on providing infant and maternal health care. The clinic serves the rural community of Akpugo in Enugu state, southeast Nigeria. Their medical team is made up of locally based physicians, as well as volunteer physicians and PAs based in the US, nurses, and midwives. Equal as One’s organizational vision is to: Nurture kinship. Restore health. Cultivate leadership. Preserve culture. The communities they serve are rural communities of low to mid income countries. In the work they do, whether it is in the delivery of health care or providing basic/primary school education, their primary aim is to give people living in poverty a chance at a better life. Here is a video of the clinic at 1 year.
