Fellows actively participate in all ongoing clinical trials within the stroke division. They are expected to screen patients, identify potential candidates, and notify research coordinators regarding eligibility. Fellows are welcome to enroll patients and may serve as sub‑investigators on approved studies.
In addition to participating in clinical research, fellows are strongly encouraged but not mandated to develop their own research projects. Faculty mentors provide guidance throughout project development, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and submission to national and international stroke conferences.
Each fellow may attend a conference during their fellowship year when presenting research.
