Our fellowship program consists of both block and longitudinal rotations. The block rotations include inpatient and sub-acute care, geriatric psychiatry inpatient care, geriatric rehabilitation, hospice and palliative care, geriatric emergency medicine and geriatric electives. The longitudinal rotations include a geriatric continuity/assessment clinic, long-term care, dementia directed care, scholarly activity, QI projects, neurology, home health and others, giving fellows a well-rounded and robust year of learning to care for our elderly patients.
We believe in a well-rounded program that includes a hands-on as well as an educational experience. The Fellowship Program includes protected education time for the following: MDT rounds, journal club, didactic lectures (basic science and clinical).
