The Office of Marketing and Communications in Phoenix provides coordinated communications with external groups to introduce and familiarize them with the University of Arizona (UA) College of Medicine – Phoenix and raise the awareness of the medical school and the University’s presence in Maricopa County. The office promotes the UA to business, community and governmental leaders in the area. It is specifically involved in coordinating the expansion of the Phoenix campus, including the health science colleges.

In addition, the Marketing and Communications office handles all news media inquiries and coordinates all external and internal communications for the campus. The office's role is to tell the UA's story to the greater community and to raise the profile of the UA as a premier, student-centered research institution. The office includes marketing professionals, storytellers and brand managers who promote the University and the Phoenix campus in an integrated fashion.
