Continuity Clinics

During the first 2 years, our continuity clinics take place at Banner University Medical Center Internal Medicine faculty practice and Phoenix Children’s Hospital ambulatory clinic. Residents alternate half-day clinics weekly between both faculty practices.

During the 3rd and 4th years, we offer additional half-day clinical experiences during ambulatory, non-call months to increase experience in various areas—adult and pediatric subspecialty clinics and primary care as part of your individualized curriculum.

For those interested in primary care careers, we have Med-Peds faculty in private practice and rural settings that can serve as continuity clinic sites during the 3rd and 4th years of training.

Internal Medicine Continuity Clinic

Our Internal Medicine continuity clinic site is on campus at Banner University Medical Center of Phoenix, allowing residents to work with Med-Peds and Internal Medicine faculty in an urban clinic setting. It’s a busy practice with adults of all ages, including young adults with complex needs such as autism, Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, and sickle cell disease. Our transition program serves to coordinate primary care services for these unique patient populations.

Pediatric Continuity Clinic

Our Pediatric continuity clinic site is located conveniently on campus at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. It allows residents to work with Med-Peds and Pediatric faculty with a diverse group of patients from birth to adolescence. Our Reach Out and Read program promotes early literacy from birth to 5 years of age, and our ACE (Adverse Childhood Event screening) tool helps families to connect with needed community resources and social workers.
