The Phoenix campus, long known for excellent patient care, is the new home for medical discoveries, thanks to our collaboration with the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.

Our Transplant Services Team saves thousands of lives each year with our advancements in caring for patients needing life-saving organ transplants and our Stroke Center makes a difference in the lives of patients with diseases, disorders and injuries of the brain, spine and nervous system.
Phoenix Veteran's Administration Health Center
The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) — comprised of the Carl T. Hayden Veterans Affairs Medical Center and seven clinics — is categorized as a Clinical Referral Level 1 facility. The VA Medical Center provides acute medical, surgical and psychiatric inpatient care, as well as rehabilitation medicine and neurological care to the more than 322,002 Veterans who reside in the facility's primary service area.
Phoenix Children's Hospital
Phoenix Children’s Hospital is a state of the art tertiary care standalone children’s hospital. As Arizona’s first standalone children’s hospital, it has long been a leader in providing quality care to both primary care patients and children with significant medical needs. Staff and faculty from all major pediatric surgical and medical subspecialties work at the hospital, and the hospital is a tertiary care center for the rest of Arizona. During residency, significant exposure to subspecialty pediatrics will occur while at Phoenix Children's.
Valleywise Health Medical Center
Valleywise Health Medical Center (formerly Maricopa Medical Center) is the main inpatient and surgical site for a large, county-wide public health system. Valleywise primarily works with an underserved population and provides excellent exposure to primary care pediatrics. Within Valleywise is the Arizona Children’s Center, a combination of inpatient, emergency and outpatient settings, which focuses on providing high impact and high quality care for some of Arizona’s most vulnerable populations. With newly a newly renovated ED, outpatient clinic, and inpatient floor, residents work closely with long term faculty heavily invested in education.
Our Med-Peds residents rotate in the outpatient Community Health Center for increased exposure to outpatient general pediatrics in their internship and again as a senior resident.
St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center
The St. Joseph's NICU cares for newborn infants throughout the Southwest and serves as the first home for nearly 800 premature babies each year. Their perinatologists are specialists who care for both mother and fetus in complicated pregnancies, either as the primary caregiver or in partnership with obstetric services. They collaborate with a wide variety of specialists to provide the best possible outcomes for mothers and their babies.
Our Med-Peds residents are exposed to the full spectrum of neonatal care at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Here, our residents will get their first experience with newborn care in the Well Baby nursery during the first half of their internship. Thereafter, our residents rotate through the St. Joseph's NICU as both interns and senior residents.
