The Division of Cardiology is a contemporary, dynamic and innovative unit dedicated to excellence in research, medical education and clinical care.

The division was founded in 2016 with its inaugural chief Martha Gulati, MD, MS, FACC, FAHA, FASPC.

Driven by over 50 faculty, clinician educators, researchers and instructors — who are the pillars of strength in the division’s ongoing efforts into the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease — the division's goal is to provide excellence in teaching, research and clinical care.

The Division of Cardiology is one of the largest academic and clinical units within the Department of Internal Medicine at the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix, providing clinical services to patients from all over the state of Arizona at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix.

We deliver compassionate and cutting-edge preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic services to ensure heart disease prevention and to care for patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, arrhythmia, women’s cardiovascular health and advanced heart failure.
