Overview

Welcome to the Combined Internal Medicine Geriatrics Track at The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, Division of Geriatrics, where we offer a unique and innovative approach to training future leaders in geriatric medicine.

Our Combined Med-Geri Track is a comprehensive 4-year program offering continuous exposure to geriatric medicine. Unlike the traditional path of a 3-year internal medicine residency followed by a 1-year fellowship, our program integrates 6 months dedicated exclusively to research, leadership, and professional development within the 4-year training period.

This ACGME-approved program is part of the AIRE initiative, which encourages innovation in graduate medical education. We are proud to be among a select group of programs in the country offering this distinctive training opportunity.

Our program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in these roles and make a significant impact in geriatric medicine.
