Lisa Grimaldi, MD, FAAP |
Brief Bio
Dr. Lisa Grimaldi serves as the associate dean of Foundational Curriculum, where her expertise in mentoring physicians informs the foundational training opportunities for medical students. She is a board-certified pediatric critical care physician who has further specialized in cardiac critical care and has worked exclusively in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) setting for eighteen years.
Dr. Grimaldi received her medical degree from Rutgers University – New Jersey Medical School. She completed her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Grimaldi has been an integral part of the college’s curriculum across all four years of the students’ medical training. She has served in various roles, including a facilitator for case-based instruction, an instructor in the clinical skills course, and a lecturer and director for several organ system blocks within the foundational curriculum. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
