The College of Medicine – Phoenix will focus on fostering a positive environment and work culture. As a growing college and hub for medical education, we strive to achieve visibility with an active presence on campus and in the community. This policy will guide decisions regarding hybrid work at the UArizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.

Scope

This policy applies to full-time UA-employed faculty and staff. 

Policy

All full-time employees are expected to work in-person (e.g., on campus, at their affiliate site or in the community) a minimum of four (4) days per week. One (1) day remote is permitted for full-time employees if the nature of the job permits such a schedule.

An alternative work schedule is based on the unit leader's recommendation. It is subject to final approval by the appropriate Vice Dean and the Dean’s Office. The manager/director is responsible for ensuring that the proposed work schedule meets the needs of our students and the College, and it will be periodically assessed for performance and effectiveness.
