Overview
The Department of Pathology was created to help students, faculty, physicians and researchers to embrace precision pathology.
Our mission is to provide exceptional education, research and patient care.
With over 45 faculty members at locations around the valley—including Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, Maricopa County Office of the Medical Examiner, Phoenix Children's Hospital and Phoenix VA Health Care System—our students are receiving exceptional learning experiences in their quest to be the next generation of physicians in Arizona and around the country.
In addition to providing outstanding medical education, the Department of Pathology is devoted to the enhancement of excellent pathology and laboratory services for the precision health of Arizonans and encouragement of research in precision pathology.
Our hope is to nourish and develop our faculty and staff to make this the “best place for an academic career.”
