Welcome from the Program Director
Welcome to the Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship Program with in the Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. This three-year program is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, or ACGME. It offers outstanding training and, through its educational opportunities offered at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix and the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Medical Center, provides the basis for a truly comprehensive exposure to modern cardiology practice.
We are proud to have highly accomplished faculty that hold national recognition, who are also committed to supporting each individual fellow’s goals and career aspirations. The teaching faculty are diverse with broad clinical, academic and research backgrounds. This, in conjunction with our diverse patient population, offers a unique and enriched educational experience for our trainees.
In addition to our general cardiology training program, we have four strong subspecialty cardiology training programs in Interventional Cardiology, Structural Heart Disease, Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Our program accepts applications via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
