The Risks of Overprotective Parenting

Thursday, October 10, 2024 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Children's safety and wellbeing are the parents’ and relatives' caring for younger ones’ biggest concern. Our previous life experiences, the current environment and circumstances, along with the child’s personality and unique needs, influence how we raise children. An overprotective parenting style has been linked with the development of stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, and other functional somatic symptoms later in life. This workshop will provide tools to assess parenting styles and strategies to avoid overprotecting your children.
