Letter from the Program Director
We are excited to introduce the new Payson Family Medicine Residency Program! The Banner Payson Medical Center has long been involved with medical education and is now ready to take on the next step – our first graduate medical education program and residency.
Situated in the Tonto National Forest and at the entrance to the Mogollon Rim, our busy critical access hospital provides unique and excellent learning opportunities for medical education in a rural setting.
Residents’ education will be well-rounded with experiences and shared didactics with the Banner University Family Medicine Residency in Phoenix. Our graduates will be well suited to provide the full spectrum of family medicine care, and confident to practice in any rural setting.
